Licensed & Insured

Effective July 1, 2008, Georgia requires all Residential and General Contractors to obtain a Georgia Residential Contractor License. RL Hayes has already been approved and has obtained it's license (effective July 1, 2008).

While having a license is no guarantee of the quality of work performed by a contractor, it does ensure that the contractor has the minimum requisite skills and knowledge to perform the work. In addition, having proper licensing and insurance typically demonstrate that a contractor is serious about their business.

Hiring a contractor with proper insurance provides you personal protection in the event of an accident. Bonding requirements give some assurance that a project will be completed.

RL Hayes Inc. provides written certification of general liability insurance, bonding, worker's compensation, property damage and personal liability insurance during the contract phase of your project.

Why is Insurance Important?
The answer is simple. It's for YOUR protection.

If somebody working on your project were to get injured on the worksite, you could be personally liable for their injuries and be sued. Or there also could be property damage and the risk of the job being left unfinished.

In addition, you may also be left personally responsible for bills from unpaid vendors.
